Israel’s Biological Inst ready for volunteer covid testing

Some 100 volunteers to be recruited to take part in first human tests on a new coronavirus vaccine next month at the Sheba and Hadassah hospitals. In the first stage the Nes Ziona biological Institute will test the vaccine for possible side effects. If it proves safe, the trials will be expanded to hundreds. The vaccine is based on an active harmless virus engineered for its shell to contain the covid-19 virus. Its injection is planned to teach the human immune system to produce antibodies for countering the virus.
