Israel’s covid19 task force focuses on hotbeds. No overall lockdown
The ministerial task force for coronavirus decided on Monday to impose limited restrictions on the hotbeds of the disease instead of locking down the country or even whole towns. The additional 182 active cases diagnosed on Tuesday are widely spread out and boosted the total to 3,520, with 35 severe cases and 25 on ventilators. The death toll has inched up to 302. New prime hotbeds have been uncovered in South Tel Aviv and Jaffa. Staff at the big Ichilov municipal hospital were also hit, with 11 doctors and nurses confirmed with the virus/ The hospital staff was accused of neglecting preventive health guidelines. At the Tel Aviv Medical Palace nursing home, 13 inmates and staffers tested positive and one has since died.
