Israel’s daily coronavirus count tops 1,000 for the first time

The tally of coronavirus cases had notched up again by Thursday night by 1,107 to a total of 27,542 of which 9,618 are active. Serious cases were also heading up to 70. The death toll rose to 325. The number of tests increased from around 20,000 a day to 24,404. Thursday night, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein announced new restrictions on crowding – no more than 50 at any event or public venue.
