Israel’s gesture of unilateral 12-hour truce began Saturday a.m.

A 12-hour "huminatarian" truce was accepted by Israel as a goodwill gesture shortly Friday night shortly after the Israeli cabinet rejected US Secretary of State Kerry’s 7-day ceasefire proposal. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu informed him that Israel would unilaterally begin a 12-hour "humanitarian" pause from Saturday 8.a.m. Israel time. Kerry praised Netanyahu for this “goodwill gesture.” The IDF would not halt its search for and destruction of "terror tunnels" during this short truce. Hamas has made its acceptance of the Kerry ceasefire contingent on the reopening of the Gaza crossings under an international guarantee and other conditions..
