Israel’s PMO: Iran has not given up nuclear bomb aspiration
In response to the IAEA’s approval for ending sanctions against Iran, the Israeli prime minister’s office released this response: Even after signing a nuclear accord, Iran has not abandoned its quest for a nuclear weapon, or its efforts to destabilize the Middle East and disseminate terrorism, in breach of its international commitments. The world powers and IAEA must closely monitor activities in Iran’s nuclear facilities and other sites to ascertain that it is no longer working secretly on a nuclear weapon. In the absence of an adequate response, Iran will assume that it can carry on with its nefarious activities without punishment. Israel will continue to watch Iran, issue warnings when negative activity is observed and perform whatever is necessary to guard its security and defend itself.
