Israel’s top soldier strongly denies objecting to operation against Iran

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz vehemently denied he had voiced an opinion against striking Iran’s nuclear program, as suggested by certain media. “’All the options are on the table’ is no slogan for me but a work plan,” he said Tuesday when he inspected a new intake of gunners and home defense recruits.
“None of the reports appearing in the media came from me,” Gen. Gantz stated and went on to stress: “Iran is the only country in the world to build a nuclear weapon capacity while threatening at the same time to destroy another country. This is a grim problem for the world and the region that we must not ignore.”
