Israel’s Ya’alon: This was not Assad’s first use of chemicals

Commenting on the Syrian army’s alleged use of poison gas, which the Syrian opposition now claims cost 1,300 lives, Israel’s Defense Minister Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said Wednesday: "The use of chemical weapons by the regime is not a first. Even ousting Bashar Assad will not lead to the end of the Syrian conflict, since there are now battles between different factions in the country." Moscow has meanwhile called for “a fair and professional investigation” into the alleged chemical attack
