Jerusalem Church reopens after tax levies suspended

The Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox and Armenian church leaders agreed to reopen the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem Wednesday morning after shuttering it for three days in protest at Israeli municipal taxation. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu stepped into the dispute ahead of the busy Easter pilgrimage season at the site where Christians believe Jesus was crucified and resurrected. He appointed Cabinet Minister Tzachi Hanegbi to head a new negotiating committee for resolving the issue with representatives of the churches. Meanwhile, tax collection was suspended, as well as another controversial issue that centered on new legislation governing the sale of church lands in Jerusalem.

These new laws came into effect after the churches that owned land reneged on selling their properties after finding out that the buyers were Jews due to Palestinian pressure.

Synagogues are not profitable tourist attractions nor are they businesses vyt rather places of worship. I think that is the issue correct me if im wrong.

The real point is not taxes (by the way these churches are giving free services for hospitals and schools for not money capable people and in this way the pay salaries to christian people and others. Alternatively they will be without jobs since nobody is making profit here)
The point is regarding lands and the different ways followed by a totally illegal authority ( for international law this is occupied land but for Israel this is disputed land hence in a very near future the will to annex it to main land) to grab it. Got the point!!!

If that is the logic then Jewish houses of worship should be able to run for profit without paying taxes.

Those “churches” are about as Christian as Mickey Mouse. They utterly disregard the example of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ:
Matthew 22:15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.
Mat 22:16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.
Mat 22:17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
Mat 22:18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?
Mat 22:19 Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.
Mat 22:20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
Mat 22:21 They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, RENDER THEREFORE UNTO CAESAR THE THINGS WHICH ARE CAESAR’S; and unto God the things that are God’s.

And further disregard the commandment of his apostle Paul:
Rom 13:6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing [Civil and military protection].
Rom 13:7 Render therefore to all their dues: TRIBUTE TO WHOM TRIBUTE IS DUE; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

We Bible believing Christians therefore pay our taxes, whether we like the government or not, in obedience to God.

Well the time is coming soon when the Messiah will build a new temple on Mt Zion after all churches, synagogues, mosques are destroyed as prophesied by Ezekiel. Anyone who opposes will suffer greatly or die at Armageddon.
