Jerusalem Day starts with Palestinian disorders on Temple Mt.
As Israel marked the 47th anniversary of Jerusalem’s reunification, Israeli police securing the site were attacked early Wednesday with a hail of rocks by rampaging Muslim Palestinians when the first visitors entered Temple Mount. The attackers then barricaded themselves in Al Aqsa mosque and continued to lob stones and fire crackers to drive Israeli visitors out of the site, although it is sacred to all three monotheistic faiths.
