A boy of 16, resident of the Binyamin region, was indicted on Thursday for throwing a rock weighting 2 kilograms at a passing Palestinian car three months ago and causing the death of its passenger, Aisha Rabi. He was charged with manslaughter in circumstances of terror and sabotaging a vehicle with deliberate intent to commit a terrorist act. The youth and fellow-students are described by the prosecution as standing on a hill overlooking the section of Route 60, a high-speed inter-city road, between the Rehelim junction and the Tapuah junction. Aisha Rabi, her partner and their 9-year-old daughter, were in the car on their way to their home in Bidya, driving at a speed of about 100 kph. As the vehicle approached, the boy picked up a rock and aimed it at the car’s windshield. It smashed through the glass pane and struck Aisha Rabi in the head. The injury proved fatal. The accused boy was remanded in custody pending trial.
