Johnson says talks with the EU – only on a new trade deal

UK PM Boris Johnson said in Scotland on Monday in reference to fresh negotiations with the EU: “The withdrawal agreement is dead; it’s got to go.” He reiterated that Brexit would go through by Oct. 31 with or without a deal. After EU leaders said the agreements reached with his predecessor Theresa May can’t be changed,  Johnson stated there would be no further negotiations unless Brussels was ready to discuss a new accord, resulting in “a new free trade deal that allows us to take back control of out tariffs and regulations and do things differently here if we want to.”
