Jordan: At least 17 pilgrims killed in bus crash

Most of the 17 dead and 42 wounded, some critically, were Palestinian pilgrims on their way back from Mecca to the West Bank. Some Israeli Muslims may have been among them too. According to the Jordanian Petra news agency, the bus most likely collided with a truck not far from the Allenby Bridge border crossing near Edessiya Saturday before rolling over into a gulch. The Palestinian and Israeli authorities were informed of the accident. Israel’s Magen David Adom offered medical care.
