Jordan’s Abdullah cuts short Washington visit
King Abdullah abruptly ended his Washington visit Tuesday. He meets President Barack Obama Tuesday night before returning home to deal with the crisis following ISIS’s execution of Jordanian Air force pilot Lt. Mu’ath al Kassasbeh by burning him alive. The monarch faces two popular calls for Jordan to quit the US-coalition fighting ISIS and wreak revenge for the atrocity. Security sources in Amman say the female Al Qaeda bomber Sajda al-Rishawi, who was offered in a trade for the pilot, will be put to death at dawn. Five other terrorists on death row in Jordan for years may also face early execution.
