Kasich, Cruz make deal aimed at stopping the Trump juggernaut
US Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz and John Kasich on Sunday night announced an agreement to cooperate to prevent frontrunner Donald Trump from obtaining the 1,237 delegates needed for the party's nomination. The announcements by the spokesmen for the two campaigns said each campaign would put less efforts in states where it has a lower chance of winning so that the other candidate can receive more votes and have a better chance of defeating Trump.
