Kerry and Lavrov discuss Syria by phone
US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov talked about Syria by phone Monday. The State Department in Washington's first response to the Russian proposal for Syria’s chemical weapons said: The US will take a hard look at the Russian proposal but is seriously skeptical about placing Syria’s chemical weapons under international protection.
