Kerry calls on Senate not to impose additional sanctions on Tehran
In testimony before a Senate subcommittee on Wednesday, US Secretary of State John Kerry recommended against placing more sanctions on Iran, saying Tehran's nuclear agreement with Western powers has yet to be implemented. “I don’t think there’s a need to rush here,” he said. “I’d like to see how the implementation goes so we can do whatever we’re doing advised by that process." The sanctions are intended to address Iran's repeated violations of UN resolutions regarding ballistic missile tests and human rights.
