Key health official Prof. Sadetzky quits in protest of covid-19 policy
Prof. Sigal Sadetzky resigned on Tuesday as Public Health Director at the Health Ministry. In her letter of resignation, she slammed the current handling of the coronavirus crisis as faulty and lacking a “qualitative solution for curbing the rising wave of the pandemic.” Prof. Sadetzky complained that for some weeks she had warned that the handling of the plague had lost direction. But no one had heeded her. Health Minister Yuli Edelstein praised Prof. Sadetzky and noted that she had worked tirelessly night and day in the service of public health.
