Khamenei: US-brokered talks will damage Palestinian rights

Iran’s top leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said US-hosted Mideast talks will force the Palestinians to relinquish their rights. Addressing an Eid al-Fitr ceremony marking the end of Ramadan in Tehran Friday, Khamenei said: The "U.S. is not a real mediator, it stands by the Zionists." He also warned Egypt that it faces a civil war. Nothing but damage for the Egyptian people will come from the interference of foreign powers," he said, and called on its religious and political parties “to learn from the lessons of Syria.”
