Kiev accuses Russia of sending more tanks, troops into Ukraine

German Chancellor Angela Merkel traveled to Paris Friday for an urgent meeting with President Francois Holland on the breakdown of the Minsk ceasefire in Ukraine. Kiev accused Russia of pouring materiel including 20 tanks and 10 missiles, as well as busloads of troops, into eastern Ukraine, to boost rebel forces holding the southern town of Novoazovsk on the Sea of Azov coast, south of Mariupol, which miltary sources say is the coming battlefront. The fall of Mariupol would provide the pro-Russian rebels with a gateway to the south and the Crimean Peninsula.
