Knesset limits demonstrations to 1 km from home

After a stormy debate, the Knesset Tuesday night ratified the government’s decision to limit public demonstrations to a distance of 1 km from a protester’s home during te full lockdown against the spread of covid-19. The measure was approved by 46 MKs against 38 nays. The coronavirus ministerial panel meets on Wednesday to begin charting an exit strategy from the lockdown which is estimated to last until next month.
