Knesset Speaker joins right-wing boycott of PM immunity session

All the right-wing parties are boycotting the Knesset session starting at 11 a.m. Tuesday to set up a House committee for dealing with PM Binyamin Netanyahu’s request for immunity from prosecution.  This request has a majority for refusal.  House Speaker, Yuli Edelstein, a leading Likud member, has joined the boycott. On Monday night, Netanyahu was contemplating withdrawing his immunity application.

He is in Washington for the unveiling of the Trump blueprint for an Israel-Palestinian peace later on Tuesday.
