Kohavi: Israel has three plans for neutralizing Iran’s nuclear program
In a farewell interview, outgoing IDF chief Lt. Gen. Aviv Kohavi spoke Friday of three plans for neutralizing Iran’s nuclear program: a retaliatory strike unrelated to the nuclear issue; taking out Iran’s nuclear installations and auxiliary sites, and a possible escalation to a full-blown offensive against Iran’s military sites and other assets.
According to Kochavi, Iran currently has enough fissile material for the production of four bombs using highly enriched uranium.
Shortly before handing over to Lt. Gen Herzi Halevi, Kohavi also referred to the new government’s controversial reassignment of cabinet portfolios and warned against politicians meddling in military affairs and the civil administration of Judea and Samaria.
