Kremlin spokesman refuses to consider a Russian-Turkish clash Syria

“We wouldn’t even like to think about that scenario,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday, when he was asked if Moscow was worried about being sucked into a conflict with Turkish forces, because of its backing for the Syrian army. He said Moscow is in regular contact with Ankara, including on the military level. Syrian Kurdish leaders struck a deal with the Syrian government, brokered by Russia, which centered on Syrian army troops deploying along the border with Turkey.
