Kremlin spokesman refuses to consider a Russian-Turkish clash Syria

“We wouldn’t even like to think about that scenario,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday, when he was asked if Moscow was worried about being sucked into a conflict with Turkish forces, because of its backing for the Syrian army. He said Moscow is in regular contact with Ankara, including on the military level. Syrian Kurdish leaders struck a deal with the Syrian government, brokered by Russia, which centered on Syrian army troops deploying along the border with Turkey. Russia backs the Syria army. DEBKAfile: Moscow has already cautioned Ankara to halt its advance into northern Syria.

Turkey has gone rouge no European or NATO backing, and Moscow has already cautioned Ankara to halt its advance into northern Syria. Erdogan loses to Putin on his Syrian oil grab, and deep state loses its bases, Trump wins.

@xthat Turkey is a member of the SCO, the Russo-Sino defence pact, and should have been immediately booted out of NATO on acceptance. This spat between Russia and Turkey is within the SCO family.

Of course should not have a serious clash, only 2, 3 Turkish airplanes downed, that’s all.
Just enough to spoil Erdogan’s image.
