Las Vegas gunman identified. Casualties rise to 50 dead, 400+ injured

The shooter responsible for the shooting rampage that murdered at least 50 people and injured more than 400 in Las Vegas Monday has been identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock from Mesquite, NV. Police tracked him down and shot him dead in a room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort, from which he shot automatic fire at a country music concert below. He had no known religious affinity, but his crime is described as “terrorist.”

Las Vegas Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said a manhunt was underway for a person of interest, believed to be his roommate. She is identified as an Asian woman called Marilou Danley, aged 62, the finding of whom is seen  critical to discovering Paddock’s motive for the massacre. A few minutes ago, Danley was arrested.
