Latest tests on improved version of Israel’s Iron Dome system completed

The Israeli Defense Ministry said Wednesday that it had completed the latest series of tests on the country's Iron Dome missile defense system. The tests checked the functioning of the Tamir interceptor that includes components jointly produced by the US and Israel. Some of the system was funded by and developed in cooperation with the Pentagon's Missile Defense Agency. Iron Dome, manufactured in Israel by a group of local companies, is the world's first system for intercepting short-range missiles to become operational.
