Lavrov calls attack on Syrian air base a “dangerous development”
The Russian defense and foreign ministries have asked their Israeli counterparts to provide “explanations” for air strikes on a “Syrian military facility,” former FSB general Senator Vladimir Jabarov reported Sunday. He was speaking with Iranian media.
Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters that the “air strike carried out on Sunday on a Syrian air base was a dangerous development. “I hope the US understands this,” he said, adding that there was no need for an investigation to find out who carried out the strike in Homs. Moscow earlier attributed the attack to Israel, which has offered no comment.

That is the world of “multiculturalism” Western leaders are importing into their own countries and are finding out does not work out so well for civilization. If you keep supporting the concept that all people will be peaceful if treated with respect and if you accommodate their beliefs and needs, have a look at the overall situation and then ask yourself how any western country could possibly support importing a belief system that justifies the kind of carnage we see happening in the region. How could any civilized country like Russia militarily support Iran, Syria and a multitude of terror groups knowing how they operate?

One reason I believe Putin intervened in Syria was to acquire battlefield experience. America has acquired quite a lot of it in recent years, in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. Such experience is very valuable, and even presents a risk not to possess it.
The situation with the US and Russia is quite dangerous currently. The bi-hemispheral balance which the world “enjoyed” during the Cold War is gone. America is peaking as a world *empire* (and yes I use that word deliberately even though no Wikipedia page exists for it…)
Russia on the other hand has arguably never been weaker relative to its Western rivals. The economy is mostly energy and raw materials. And most worryingly for Russia, Chinese military technology is expected to overtake Russian within the decade.
No force on earth can challenge the US at this point. It’s biggest threats are internal politics.
