Lavrov: US action in Syria either provocation or ill-informed

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov Monday slammed the US planned border security force in Syria as either “a deliberate provocation” or indication that Washington “did not understand the situation there.” He accused Washington of trying to control the Turkish-Syrian border by using, and secretly arming, the Kurdish YPG militia. DEBKAfile: The Russian foreign minister’s remarks were clearly aimed at supporting the military operation Turkey launched over the weekend to drive the Kurdish militia out of the North Syrian enclave of Afrin.

    Didnt Russia also send wepaons to the YPG?

    Was Öcalan not build up by USSR?

    Russia and the US will help the Kurd’s close the door on Turkey troops that enter Afrin, even Assad has open the roads for Kurdish reinforcements, the loses will weaken Erdogan politically at home.
