Law limiting premier’s incapacity is passed

At first light Thursday after a stormy debate, the Knesset passed (61:47) the new incapacity law that prevents a prime minister from being disqualified to serve – excepting only on the grounds of physical or mental unfitness and with 80pc majority parliamentary endorsement.  This law releases PM Binyamin Netanyahu from the “conflict of interest” ban the Attorney General’s imposed on his involvement in the reform overhaul while standing trial on charges of corruption.
