Lieberman: Assistance to Gaza contingent on progress on Israeli hostages

Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Sunday that economic aid from Israel to the Gaza Strip is contingent on progress for the handover of Israel MIAs and hostages held by Hamas. He spoke shortly before a security cabinet meeting on the Gaza issue. The minister laid the Gaza population’s hardships wholly at the doors of the Palestinian Authority, which withholds funds due, and the Hamas regime, which squanders resources on digging terror tunnels, staging violent anti-Israeli disturbances and developing rockets. As to why the IDF has failed to curb Palestinian incendiary kite attacks, Lieberman said they are loosed from points 1.5km deep inside the territory.
The cabinet meeting is to hear two proposals: One is a plan for Israeli measures to ease the economic crisis in Gaza; two, authority for the IDF to resort to targeted killings of terrorists caught tossing burning kites and explosive devices into Israel.

Hamas tries to kill and kidnap innocent Israelis, while Israel tries to aid the economic crisis in gaza?

    Something is backwards here.

Maybe if Israel was tougher against gazans, they wouldn’t view Israelis as sensitive, emotional peacelovers who can be intimidated and manipulated.

The tyrants. The presumptuous. The arrogant. The idolators of ‘so called’ ‘nations’.

Behold, the day of the Lord is coming, cruel with wrath and burning anger, to make the land desolate, and its sinners He shall destroy from it.

For the stars of the heavens and its constellations shall not allow their light to illuminate, the sun has become dark in its going forth, and the moon shall not shine its light.

And I will visit evil upon the earth, and upon the wicked their iniquity; and I will cut off the pride of the presumptuous, and the arrogance of the tyrants I will humble.

And I will oppress Ariel, and there shall be moaning and mourning, and it shall be to Me like Ariel.

And I will encamp in a circle upon you, and I will besiege you with a camp of siege, and I will erect upon you siege works.

And you shall be humble, from the earth shall you speak and from the dust shall your speech be lowered; your voice shall be like a necromancer from the earth, and from the dust shall your speech chirp.

And the multitude of foreigners shall be like fine dust, and the multitudes of tyrants like passing chaff, and it shall be a sudden happening.

From the Lord of Hosts she shall be visited with thunder, with earthquake, and a great noise, storm wind and tempest, and a flame of consuming fire.

And shall be like a dream, a vision of [the] night, the multitude of all the nations assembled upon Ariel, and all those stationed around her and those who trap her, and those who besiege her.

And it shall be, as the hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats, and he shall awaken, and his appetite is unsated, and as the thirsty man dreams, and behold he drinks, and he shall awaken and behold he is faint, and his soul yearns, so shall be the multitude of all the nations gathered on Mount Zion.

Stop and wonder; they became blind and they blinded. They were intoxicated but not from wine; they reeled but not from strong wine.

Mark G: – A crash course on Israel – Gaza relationship
    1. Israel needs Hamas. Hamas does not need Israel.
1a. Israel needs Hamas since it is the best alternative to PLO/ EU controlled Palestinian state which will be recognized by EU and most countries next 10 minutes after fall of Hamas rule in Gaza. Such a state will be imposed without consent of Israel and its friends.
1b. Hamas does not need Israel since even if it disappears from Gaza it will reappear in Ramallah and Jerusalem. From already recognized Palestinian State it will continue the war against Israel both politically, from Palestinian administration, and using terror. Nearest analogy to such a situation is progressing dissolution of state called once Lebanon by Hezbollah military and Hezbollah political wings.
    2. Israel does not want responsibility for 1.8 mln Arabs in. So elimination of Hamas leaves the population leaderless and it may be passed either to Egypt , to PA of PLO and Abbas or to Israel. The best is the first option but with slim chance of realization since Egypt does not want the responsibility. Remaining two others are disastrous for Israel. The first will negatively influence the jewish-arab demography and the second will lead to continuation of the war, from much better position for Palestinians – see 1b.

Hama’s tactics to sacrifice children for their cause is working well on you. Hamas is responsible for the killing not Israel. Hamas attacks Israel and Israel defends herself against the attacks.
