Litzman resigns from government

The ultra-religious Rabbi Yakov Litzman resigned as Housing Minister from the coalition government on Sunday in protest against the coming lockdown restrictions on synagogue worship during the coming New Year and Yom Kippur festivals .The lockdown of at least two weeks begins on Friday, New Year Festival eve. Littzman acted alone after his own and fellow ultra-religious parties took exception to his step.
