Litzman: We overreacted to the coronavirus outbreak
Yakov Litzman, until recently minister of health, claimed in a radio interview that he thought from the first that Israel was overreacting to the coronavirus outbreak. In his view, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had reacted according to the fears of 10,000 deaths voiced by the ministry’s director general Moshe Bar Simon Tov. Litzman went on to say: “I shouted at a cabinet meeting that this was an exaggeration. But the prime minister bought it and responded accordingly.” Litzman holds the Housing and Construction Ministry in the new government.
