Lockdown Lifted After Suspect Shot Near White House
A lockdown at the White House has been lifted after a shooting nearby.
It was lifted just after 4 p.m. That’s about 30 minutes after it was enacted. Around that time, armed Secret Service could be seen positioned on the White House roof.
A secret service uniformed officer shot a male suspect outside the White House gates prompting the lockdown. A gun has been recovered.
Authorities reportedly shot the suspect in the abdomen and took him into custody. He is listed in critical condition.
