London City Airport declared safe after “chemical incident:
An unidentified chemical incident at London City Airport Friday caused 26 people to suffer from breathing difficulties, sending some to hospital in ambulances. The airport, which was closed and some 500 passengers and staff evacuated, was later declared safe by the Fire Brigade after two complete sweeps of the building and its ventilation. However, the cause of the chemical spill is still under investigation. The airport remains closed and flights halted.
The airport is near North Greenwich tube station which was at the centre of a terror alert on Thursday.
