London police: 79 dead or presumed dead in Grenfell Tower fire

Scotland Yard announced Monday that 79 people are confirmed dead or still missing and presumed dead in the London Tower inferno last Wednesday. Thirty were earlier confirmed dead. After four days of exhaustive searches, five people who had been reported missing were identified. A thorough investigation of the causes of the fire was promised against any individual or organization that may have been in some way culpable for the disaster.
