London police stand down armed response to gunfire in shopping center

Armed London police have not located suspects, evidence of shots fired or casualties in a shooting incident reported at Oxford Circus station early Friday, which caused the shutdown of London’s entire main shopping center. The trains and shops are expected to return to normal. Hundreds of thousands of pedestrians and all traffic were cleared on Oxford Street, Regent Street, Bond Street and Tottenham Court Rd. for most of the afternoon, as police responders went into anti-terror mode, disrupting Black Friday, one of the busiest shopping days on the London calendar.
