Lori Gilbert Kaye was killed in the hate shooting at Power Chabad synagogue

Lon Gilbert Kay, 60, was one of the four victims injured by a 19-year old gunman who attacked the Power Chabad Synagogue in San Diego County on Saturday, the last day of Passover. She died of her wounds. Two others were injured by shrapnel, the synagogue’s rabbi, Israel Goldstein, who was hit in the hand and an 8-year old girl, who was struck in the face and a leg. She was removed to a children’s hospital. Her mother said the family had moved away from Sderot to escape the Hamas rockets in the hope of a quiet life in San Diego. The rabbi, though injured, continued his speech, calling for unity and praying for peace. This was attested to by Minoo Arivan, a refugee from Iran.  Almog Peretz, 31, another former Israeli, was the fourth injured victim.

The name of the town is Poway. It may be a mistake in the Debka article. Regardless we should all be contemplating on how we can stop this global hate for the sake of future generations.

Mrs. Lori Gilbert Kaye was not “killed”, as your headline claims. She was murdered. People get “killed” in car accidents, when an avalanche hits a home, when a plane crashes, or if law enforcement must use fatal force, in order to prevent the commitment of a crime. for example, or by weapons used by the IDF in defense of Israel. But if someone is the victim of an intentional act of a human being designed to bring about the death of innocent people – such as attacking them with a weapon – this is called murder. Let’s not confuse legitimate uses of force, with the deeds of terrorists.
