Lull in Palestinian terror attacks may end over Passover: senior IDF officer

A senior IDF officer said Wednesday that the lull in the wave of Palestinian terror may suddenly end, calling the current situation "unstable." In order to more effectively cope with increasing threats during the Passover holiday period, the IDF will reinforce its troops in Judea and Samaria with two infantry divisions, with the Israel Police and the Border Police reinforcing their units on the ground. The police will also deploy special forces to ensure calm on Jerusalem's Temple Mount.
In a related development, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin met Wednesday with the country's Council of Religious Community Leaders in an effort to prevent the outbreak of another wave of violence.
