Macron in UAE to inaugurate Louvre Abu Dhabi, visits French naval bas
French President Emmanuel Macron Thursday toured a French naval base at Abu Dhabi’s Port Zayed, that sits opposite the new Louvre Abu Dhabi, which he came to inaugurate.
DEBKAfile: Abu Zayed is one of the ports Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have instructed Yemen’s Houthi insurgents to target for a missile attack on Saudi Arabia’s allies.
In his address to French sailors, Macron said the base was a crucial part of France’s battles against extremists “like the Islamic State.” He made no mention of the Iranian threat to the UAE port which houses the French base. Abu Dhabi has agreed to pay France $525 million for the use of the Louvre name for 30 years and another $750 million to hire French managers to oversee the 300 priceless works of art on loan.
Now, after the disclosure of the secret Priti Patel negociations, there is no more a secret.
Yes, Britain gets out, but also Israel gets in The European Union (EU), and of course, later on, like in less than an year, gets into NATO too.
