Macron warns Iran is in “headlong rush” to develop nuclear program
Following a meeting Thursday with Israeli PM Binyamin Netanyahu, his first foreign trip since taking office a month ago, French President Macron condemned Iran’s “headlong rush” to develop its nuclear program. Netanyahu urged France to enforce enhanced sanctions against Iran and pursue deterrent measures against Tehran and its proxies. Iran for the first time officially blamed Israel for the “terrorist attack against a defense site” in Isfahan and claimed the right to retaliate.
