One police officer dead, one injured, in car-ramming outside US Capital

Two US police officers were injured in a car ramming in Washington DC on Friday outside the US Capitol. One died of his wounds later in hospital. When the driver jumped out of the car with a knife, he was fatally shot by police outside.
