Manhunt for Ofra gunmen focuses on Ramallah environs

The terrorists who injured seven Israelis in a drive-by shooting near Ofra on Monday are still at large with no lead to their whereabouts. Palestinian sources report that Israeli forces extended their search to Ramallah, seat of the Palestinian Authority. DEBKAfile discloses that the forces are sweeping areas around Ramallah to try and pin down the gunmen’s escape route and identify their vehicle or vehicles. They may have used two cars to spray automatic gunfire on the group of Israelis standing at the Ofra junction. In some Palestinian locations, street video tapes collected by the search forces were wiped before they could be used to track the fugitives.
