Massive police sweep prepared for Jerusalem terror suspects
Acting police commissioner Bentzi Sau told reporters Tuesday that hundreds of suspects will be taken into custody during this week in the Palestinian neighborhoods of Jerusalem on charges of disturbing the peace, plotting terror and rock and firebomb attacks. The first 14 were detained Tuesday morning. Six teams of investigators have been added to the operation. In a separate case, police have summoned witnesses to testify on the Beersheba bus attack of Sunday night on the circumstances in which a soldier was shot dead, 10 injured, and a wounded Eritrean bystander beaten up by angry people duringf the terror attack. The assailants face charges.
