Merger talks between Gantz and Levy run aground

Orly Levi-Abekasis, leader of the Bridge party, slammed the door on Wednesday on union negotiations with Benny Gantz’s Hossen Le’Yisrael. “I’m running alone,” she said firmly, claiming they had reached an accord, but then Gantz asked to hold off until he had completed negotiations with Yair Lapid’s Future. Levy said her impression was that although Gantz had pledged a new kind of politics, he was in fact being manipulated by others.
