Millions of Egyptians are choosing a president

Former army chief Abdul Fattah El-Sisi is forecast to win the two-day election on Monday and Tuesday by a comfortable margin. His only contestant is the left-wing Hamdeen Sabahi. A huge security operation has been mounted by the police and military for fear that Muslim Brotherhood adherents of the unseated president Mohamed Morsi will seek to disrupt the voting.
