Ministers approve countrywide night curfew from Wednesday

The coronavirus cabinet decided on Monday to impose a countrywide night curfew from 1800 hours to early morning from Wednesday up until Jan. 2 for beating down covid infection before it grows out of control. For now, retail trade and traffic will be banned during the hours of curfew, while during the day malls and markets will be open except in “red” regions of high infection. Museums will also operate under restrictions. Returning travelers wishing to spend quarantine at home must first undergo covid tests, or they refuse, be sent to special isolation quarters. Places of business which don’t receive the public may carry on working and so can delivery services. The ministers will hold another session to decide on further restrictions depending on the prevailing level of infection.
