Modi visits Ramallah meets Abbas
The Indian prime minister Narenda Modi laid a wreath on Yasser Arafat’s tomb when he arrived in Ramallah Saturday for a three-hour visit and a meeting with Mahmoud Abbas, Chairman of the Palestinian Authority. He came from talks with King Abdullah. In both these encounters, Modi discussed the Israeli-Palestinian dispute and prospects of peace.
Given the fact that Abbas has rejected all U.S. demands to return to the negotiating table, thus forfeiting U.S funding for the Palestinian Authority as well as UNRWA (the UN Refugee agency exclusively for Palestinians, which keeps them perpetual refugees), the P.A. will soon collapse. With no funding or legitimacy, Abbas will become useless to the terrorist cause and soon meet his demise. When, and if, Prime Minister Modi next visits Ramallah to lay a wreath at Arafat’s tomb, about five years hence, he will likely also be laying one at Abbas tomb.
