More than 1,100 detentions after anti-Sisi demonstrations in Egypt

Security forces have detained around 1,100 suspects following demonstrations in several Egyptian towns calling on President Abdel Fatteh El-Sisi to resign. Videos circulated by the fugitive building contractor Ali Mohammed called on protesters to rally against allegations of corruption by the president and his close circle.
