More than 50 Iranian stealth drones drill in Hormuz Strait

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) conducted on Thursday massive exercises over the Strait of Hormuz with 50 Saeqa stealth combat drones taking off from bases as far as 1,000km away to hit the target. The Saeqa drones were built by Iran in reverse engineering from the US RQ-170 Sentinel stealth drone captured by Iran in 2011. DEBKAfile’s military sources describe the exercise as the largest demonstration of strength ever staged by Iran’s unmanned stealth aerial vehicles which are armed with bombs and rockets. The distance covered equals that between Iran and Israel.

When the drone’s command and control center is leveled to a parking lot these drones will drop from the sky like a stone.
