Morsi rejects army’s 48-hour ultimatum
President Mohamed Morsi rejected the Egyptian army's ultimatum to meet the demands of the people by Wednesday afternoon. Army chief Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi Monday afternoon said “politicians” must also agree to an inclusive roadmap for the way ahead. Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr resigned early Tuesday. Egypt's ministers of tourism, environment, communication and legal affairs earlier tendered their resignations, a day after massive protests against President Mohamed Morsi swept the country. The four handed in their letters of resignation together to Prime Minister Hisham Qandil, the official said.
