Mortar fire hits Israel’s Gaza border area for third straight day

Hamas fired mortar bombs and apparently 105mm rockets towards Israeli communities and IDF troops in the Gaza border area for the third day in a row on Thursday in an attempt to prevent Israel from discovering more of its terror tunnels. The latest attacks are occurring near an area of southern Gaza not far from the Egyptian border where one of the tunnels into Israeli territory was found. Reports on Arab social networks said IDF tanks fired warning shots in the direction of Hamas observation posts in response to the shelling.
